Harris Klonizakis was born in Athens in 1967.
He has devoted his life searching for true knowledge, wisdom and truth. Fascinated with Eastern philosophy, he believes life is a learning experience. Knowing thyself and awareness development have no end. He has extensive experience in meditation, yoga, Kung Fu, Qigong and healing therapies. Since he believes that Tai Chi and Qigong incorporate elements of all the aforementioned healing arts, they have thus become his main practice.
He is a massage therapist, a physiotherapy assistant, a certified Tai Chi instructor (his taiji master is Alex Dong) and an Usui Reiki Master. He has been trained in Thai Yoga Massage (Krishnataki, Thai Massage Circus, Pichest Boonthumme), Ayurvedic massage, Reflexology and Spineworks. Considering himself an eternal student, he currently studies Kinesiology (Touch for Health, Three in One Concepts).
A natural-born teacher, he teaches from the heart, using whatever is appropriate for the student. He combines all his experiences in his healing therapy sessions with his intuitive abilities.
He loves music and explores its healing qualities, plays drums and percussion and enjoys being in nature.
Sofia is a yoga teacher and has been working professionally as a bodyworker since 2000. Having studied various kinds of holistic therapies, she is constantly seeking new ways to help people experience balance and inner peace.
She holds, among others, diplomas in Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi Massage (Hawaiian Massage UK), Foot Reflexology (member of the Hellenic Association of Reflexologists, Association of Reflexologists in UK accredited) and Biodynamic massage (Cambridge school of Body Psychotherapy), certifications in Natural face-lift massage (Rejuvance), Touch for Health and Kinesiology - 3in1 Concepts (Level 7) which includes techniques to defuse stress on various levels.
She has been trained to teach Ashtanga Yoga Primary and Intermediate series by Kristina Karitinou and Manju Pattabhi Jois.
Since 2010 she incorporates elements of alignment in her teaching, influenced by Marios Argiros, her mentor in Iyengar yoga.
She studied Business Administration (Athens University of Economics and Business) with postgraduate studies in psychoanalysis (Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust - University of East London).
Her need for continuous training and briefing on different methods of physical exercise brought her to her first contact with yoga. She started out as a student interested in this new form of exercise, became fascinated with the practice and continued with passion, getting more and more into this “strange system”. During this course of her life the changes and development she experienced through yoga on a physical and mental level made her rethink her original concept of what “another form of physical exercise” is. Soon yoga became a method of awareness, integration, completeness and welfare filled with wise techniques. As her body felt better, everything became clearer and her inner truth came to the surface. Yoga became a way of life.
She graduated from the Hatha Yoga Teacher’s School, the Chiron Teacher, supervised by Andreas Proveleggios and Robert Najemy. She is a member of the International Yoga Teachers Association and has attended important seminars alongside other notable members. It was then she began teaching in group sessions and individual programs.
She studied with Kristina Karytinos-Ireland in 2006 and has completed her apprenticeship and teacher training in the Primary and Advanced series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with Manju Pattabhi Jois.
She has completed Aerial Yoga Level 1 Teacher training with WAY Certified yoga trainer George Andrianopoulos and Level 2 Therapeutic & Restorative Aerial Yoga with Jessie Rae.
She has also attended first aid seminars and seminars about alternative therapies such as holistic massage, anatomy, aromatherapy, muscular assessment and reflexology. She specialized in yoga for kids with Stavroula Kartsakli.
The path of learning lead her to Thai Massage, where she completed her education with Εleftheria Μatzorou in Flow and Wellness.
Today she is a founding member of the Association Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Hellas, where she teaches and performs massage therapies with a smile.
In her classes she aspires to give her students the gift she has received from her masters, which is no more than a connection with their inner light and joy not only to improve their own lives, but also the world that we all share.
Her collaboration with Yoga Sadhaka Retreat brought her to the blue-green island of Skopelos, in scenic Glossa, where she teaches in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Aerial Yoga Center during the summer months.
