Meditation is a condition of the mind and this cannot be taught; it is experienced. And as an experience it cannot be analyzed or described with words. However there are many techniques that can transfer our consciousness into different parts of the mind and therefore explore and acknowledge the hidden areas of our thoughts as we explore our Awareness.
The result of Meditation is self-realization, something that is achieved when our elevated mind transforms itself.
Yoga Nidra is a pre-meditative practice that prepares the mind for the experience of the meditation practice. In corpse pose the body maintains immobility and the mind activates through our Awareness. The benefits of Yoga Nidra are many: emotional and mental relaxation, reprogramming of our thought process, lessening or elimination of psychosomatic problems, lessening or elimination of stress and anxiety. It inspires better mental concentration and improves our breathing.
